how do you make them on your home computer for the Mpc?

The MPC reads .wav files (2000xl), just make a data CD from your burning software with wav files and it should work.

my bad borman2000 i thought 2k could read dat files i was corrected by pt3r i have since moved on to an xl but i do have another way for you to make akai image on your cpu without buying a akai formated harddrive all you need is chicken software translator (da crack version is all over da internet) with that you make a akai image on you hard drive then write the files u want to the image with it(create a virtual drive\ choose akai s1000-s3000) then when youre finsh find a program that can burn images to a cd i use wavelab to burn it to a cd

What?! The author of that program is a friend of mine. Please do not ask for pirated software on the board.
I think if you check his website, he may have a demo/free version that can do what you want. If you like it, buy it.
