Mine is not a LE, it is a custom painted one.

Just picked up my 3K LE, might need to replace the foil or whatever for the dim screen. I'm def gonna pick up the CF card read for it.
So far I'm loving the sound.

you should make a webpage with the model numbers and make like a google map type of thing of the planet with a "tick" showing all the countries where they ended up. You would get to see where each machine has been... kinda like tracking birds.

Thats a great idea :D , now how to make this actually work!? It would be cool to let someone upload a pic and the specs/ number of the MPC and location...

looking great!

whats makes you to like the 3000 over 5000.... what do u notice in the sound difference?

isn't the workflow much more difficult than on the 5000?

I had both also and the workflow is alot easier on the 5000.. the 3000 doesnt have all the editing features of the 5000... that being said, the 3000 blows the 5000 OUT OF THE WATER soundwise. The new MPCs have such a crap sound, I cant even make beats on them... The 3000 all day baby...

I'm diggin' the immediacy of the 3k coming from the 60II. Ideas just seem to flow quicker on the 3k than the 5k. Could be new gearitis tho. ;)

Here's another shot of my 3k in it's new home. I've been running 8 outs into my 1/2" 16 track fostex for some tape saturation. Mixing down to a 1/4" Otari MX-55. Sounds pretty sweet.

^Very nice indeed! Do you have any music available that you've done with that setup?

Damn that tape machine must of cost a pretty penny... Do you record to tape and then into pro tools? or do you just 2 track your mixes from the tape machine into the computer?

I just got the 3k a week or two ago, so I haven't finished anything just yet. I'll post some files once i finish some songs.

Well, the Fostex machine sounds great but is considered pro-sumer, it's not a Studer. I usually track my parts to the 16 track (when i'm not feeling lazy) and then dump into Logic & then mix down from Logic to the 1/4" machine or bounce to disk. When I'm lazy I just track to Logic and mix ITB.
