Think Monk may be thinking of the fact that the older AkaiOS (1.24 and below?) doesn't allow you to chop stereo samples with chopshop.
Maybe?

really? I didn't know about that one.... that is one thing I never heard anyone mention. honestly, that is the closest thing that could make sense i think because that question is pretty ridiculous. Who spends a grand or 2 on a machine and never looked at the back to see a left and a right input?

@mr_debauch hey man.. love what you do with sampling your sounds from disused warehouses, etc. More peeps should be sampling out there in the field. Check how all the sounds were created for Star Wars. Light saber: a mic passing in front of a CRT to get that buzz, Landspeeder: The sound of a freeway recorded with a mic at one end of a long tube. S'all good stuff.

Off topic... but what the hell :P

I'm having a similar problem. Yes I understand that it can sample in stereo, and it seems to sample in stereo for me (both levels are moving and it's set to record in stereo) but on sample playback, I'm only getting 1 channel. Any ideas?
