INTERNAL ZIP INSTALLED

I used the external port, an internal male to male 25 pin converter, and a 25 to 50 pin SCSI adapter... Extended the power cables.... and used a 50 pin Iomega scsi Drive.

40 bucks (or less)



I ordered 2 zips when I purchased on ebay, and the dummy sent me one zip and one Jazz drive.

Still sweet either way.

COOL! Those internal SCSI Zip drives are hard to come by.

Assuming this is the finished installation example...

Consider properly shielding/insulating ( with non conductive tape ) the installed form factor conversion adapters... otherwise short circuits with front panel rotary encoder areas and/or other circuits may happen.

Have seen this before.

Hence the suggestion.

Anything 50 pin is getting more scarce. I got some tricks on lock though

I had to play around with a few spots for the mount... I have a good location now, but you are correct about isolation... the rotary encoder is damn close (had to bend the stock mount)

Its all gravy tho. I used a pen cap to stabilize the rig and some hot glue.
