sample Kings school

really tempted to do the sample kings school video shit for a couple months, only 40bucks
anyone ever had any experiences with it?

Meh.. I pretty much got the 10 gigs of drums off the site - watched a couple 4000 videos... anything they showed I pretty much already knew, 4000 wise.

I did the exact same thing. But Pads, how the hell did you get all those drums into your MP? Aksys throws a BF when you load a bunch of sounds...
Anyway Doc a great teacher, I talked to him over the phone too. If you want to, check out his free vids first, then if you have the cash to burn cop'em!

I throwing back and forth the idea of buying both MPC 2000XL dvds or the ebook from here. I dont know which one is better. Anyone?

Check out the Beattips manual. It was an interesting read. It gives you better insight into the art of sampling and the aesthetics and history of hip-hop. It's nothing spectacular, but it's an inspiring read if your in an mpc slump.

I got it already. I've read it twice and spot read. I have stuff highlighted. I would love the ebook from here but I found out it would cost about $123.00 to have kinkos print it off. Reading on the computer messes with my eyes and I'd rather highlight and take it with me. I figured the Sample Kings school would let me watch all of their dvd's, including ones for mpc2000xl, mixing, and hip-hop keys.
