what is the max mb of ram

was just wondering what the max mb of ram the mpc1k can be upgraded to??

well i wonder if you'll ever be able to upgrade it higher with say differant firmware.. you know what i'm saying like remember how back in the day syou use to only be able to use a certain amount of memory with windows until they started with ne os and what not.. like i don't see why you coun't put a 256 mb of memory in it if its ont he same board.. thats why i ask

I guess it prop. will have to involve upgrading of the 1k, and AKAI havent been that fanatic about updating the 1k until now. The 128 works absolutly for me, and I use very long samples.

Is it true the 1000 will on except MPC RAM. I went to a music store and they said they think this is the case but, are not positive.
