I'm moving to New York and want to take my mpc1000 with me. will I still be able to use it because of the difference power supply etc?
I know its a different volt/watt house hold supply in america and wondered if it will be enough to power etc?
or is it a case of i just need a new power cable/adapter etc?

I was thinking of selling mine and buying one out there if easier. but obviously want to find out first.

Thanks.

Where are you moving from? (Europe, Australia?) My mind reading powers are letting me down. Lol :D

But , You should be good to go no matter where you are moving from. Just check the back of the MPC.
If it say's 100 - 240 volts then it won't be a problem. Just purchase an American IEC power cord and plug it in.

I'm in the UK. I take my MPC1000 to the States every year and use it without issue.

Just get the right power cable (or find a techie friend that has a mountain of them) and you should be good to go. I don't even think there is a switch to change to 110 volts (though might want to look on the back). I'm pretty sure the power supply handles the converting for you.

Worth a look and some clarification perhaps?

There is no switch. Just get the right cable plug it in and good to go.
I'm from Europe, I bought my 1K from the states, I had to do a little research for the same reason.
