This is strange...

I did some eq on a snare using my laptop.. its sounds great with the heaphones and the speakers but i bring it over (using akysys) to the 4k and it sounds horrible squeaky and loud

whats funny is im using the same heaphones

does anyone know what is going on here

Try turning down the output level on your sample editor in the lap top prior to transfer to the MPC. The noise you hear is most likely caused by the level clipping.

i dont think its clipping
it was already pretty low

but when i send it through aksys it sounds like a completly different snare

man this is really weird

Did u update to 1.60? and did u expand ur memory? cuase when i updated to 1.6 i found out my memory expansion was bad, and alot of my samples that i had before i updated started to crack, ring and had static. just a suggested. Peace-

i think thiz 4k is sykik ! every user has strange encounterz with the 4000 and the new akysys.Since 3 months ive got the akysys and it workz fine also with the new 1.60 uuhhhmmmmn. when i got the old version the 16 level button was out of funtion.that whaz all.
But whut im scared off with thiz new aksys. is when im loading sounds during a beat<smackthepadsession!>my hd get blank on the screen...!!! scary shit yo..<heard someone hd stayed blank!!and thatz f**ked yo>
so today im gonna save ervery beat on my zipdisk...before the shitz is a gonna vaporize..
