might as well ask in this topic..

untill i get a mixer.. what cord do i need to connect my technics SL-D303 into my mpc?
done a bit of research and a "1/4 inch TRS to 2 x Male RCA" should do the trick?
i know you guys answer this question 1000 times a day but i would rather ask than blow any gear. and i take it i can use this same cord for keyboards/cdplayers etc.. ill be getting a two or three cords to avoid re-shopping for the same thing.

*edit*

U always need something to amplify the phono signal, like a phono pre-amp or a dj mixer (which already comes with a phono pre-amp) before going into the mpc.

cheers yo.

Yeah, that will do the trick, and I keep quite a few of those around myself. I think they're a few bucks at Radioshack too.
But if you've got access to a 4k or 5k, they already come prep'd with dedicated phono connections.

has anyone actually used that Numark M1 USB? it doesn't look bad for the amount of features for the price. i've already got my mixer and have no need for it, but i'm curious if it's worth recommending to any of my entry-level friends?..

I don't have that exact mixer, but it looks better than my USB Numark mixer, which I think works pretty well. It's got the trim volume, mic-in and all that stuff. Both of the left and right channels have it's own USB cord, which just hook into your computer via USB. Just hook up, install Numark drivers, and set it up in Audacity or something and hit record. You will have it done.

Is it worth me getting the Citronic Pro-2 dj mixer for my Technics D303 TT?
and yer it is cheap i know.. but if its going to do the trick without putting out a crap sound then could be keen as i have the right cash for it without waiting.

also: cheers alot for the TRS 1/4" lookout
