Trim sound

How come everytime I trim a sample the start point is always set to 4410. I use a 2000 XL. I read my manual too and I couldnt find it that in there. I guess it doesnt matter but I was curious on why it does that?

Pre-rec in the sample screen is set to 100ms

The 4410 samples is audio that happened before the machine started "recording" the audio.
