Whilst mine is the LE version, and not actually a custom, I do think they look a lot nicer than the standard versions. If I was to get the standard version customized it would be in white. So I saved myself the hassle when I got the LE.

and not to rain on anyones parade, but I am really not digging wood sides on the 2500.
Some look better than others, but the overpriced BS kit that MPCstuff is selling, with the 4k front arm sticking out, just looks mad booty cakes to me. the single wooden side panel swap outs are decent. But still not my style at all.
On the other hand.. I have a bunch of Car audio fabrication experience working with Wood, Fiberglass and plastics, etc...
and I been entertaining the thought of fabricating some fiberglass side panels for the 2500. With Fiberglass pretty much any thing is possible. Any shape, curve or whatever. I been trying to think of a purpose they could serve other than aesthetics as well. I'm open to any suggestions.. HAHA a Cup Holder, cig pack or blunt slots, Cf card slots.. or just a sleek curvy side panel. Sh!t it could be Wings for that matter. lol.
any ideas or sketch ups are welcome. The Original Side panels would more than likely be the Base of the design, and the way they would attach to the mpc would be no different. I would probably make a fiberglass duplicate of the side panels actually, and work off of that. I can actually create an exact duplicate of the OEM side panels to work off of.

there probably is, they have that going on with the 5000 dont they? isn't there an entire inverter board? I think SMC is doing something like that for the 2000xl also isn't he? or am I completely misinterpreting the meaning of inverter board?

you could also consider asking JJ to add an "inverted display" feature... i'm sure it would be real simple for him to program.. and maybe the JJOS could even save the inverted setting along with the screen contrast [so that you don't have to invert the screen every time you turn it on]... just another idea...
