oh, well wouldn't it be more worth it to sell the mpk49 on the side for more cash? 125 seems a but low. I thought they went for close to 400 brand new.

I was unimpressed with the key action of the 88, but I have a lot to compare it to.
I would think you would have been better of selling the 49 then trading it since it looks like you got about $150 for it.
I sold a 25 for more than that earlier this year and GC sold it to me originally paid $244.
So I figure if they would do $244 instead of $299 you should have been able to the 88 for less than $700 even before a trade.
The Broad St GC store is always accomodating when I buy from them same as the Sam Ash next to it.

So I would have shot for $699 - $100 instant = $599 sold the 49 for about $225 so my total would have been around $374.
I'm just saying that how I tend to shop.

yeah, I could ebay it for like 250 prob but then shipping would be 50 of it but easier to just take it up the street to guitar center

I look at it like the 88 is one I won't outgrow pads, keys, controls, even if my mpc straight up dies eventually i still have ableton and the mpk to get my beat fix

yeah, I never ever ever pay the ad price in that guitar center I always make an offer and see how close they can come

americanmusical has a scratch dent model for 535 free shipping and an ebay dude has one for around 450 or 500 with shipping but i'd rather have new even more so when people have got those used mpk49's with broken keys

yeah that guitar center next to sam ash is the one. Sam ash guys customer service sucks compared to gc at that broad street location anyway. Even back when they were mars music (some same employees) it was like that.


I'll see next weekend what the final price is and if it is what i'm hoping $600 is worth it to me if it is what I'm hoping it is

I'm gonna stick/velcro one of these usb trackpads on the left(left handed) beside the note repeat and arp buttons under the akai mpk lettering

that's the plan, make this into an ableton live 8 midi controller that really feels like a hardware unit since the "mouse" and "keypad" will kinda be "on" the unit itself won't feel as much like pc stuff since i won't need my mouse or regular pc keyboard

my dell inspiron laptop has 4 too 2 on each side but i broke 1 on each side so down to 2 on that

yeah but the laptop has a keyboard and mousepad so you would only need two.

If LIVE is your software choice why not go with the APC40 and a keyboard controller?

I had an apc 40 but still ended up needing the mouse for stuff

it's cool if your set is already filled with tracks but when you need to go thru the sound library mouse is it

had i known about this little velcro on trackpad, i would have kept it.
