Hey this video makes me wonder can I use my Oxygen8 with my MPC500 ?

despite all the bad press i still see this being a hit all the criticism have shaped it into a better machine.

i know people didnt regard it very highly (is that correct english? :p) but this seems like a cool tool... good choice of features, and if they execute them in a quality way: good product, i think...

but yeah in 2010 u dont need 8 outs cos it automatically output separate wave forms into ur daw via the usb link

What about sending various hits to different sources for external processing?

u hit the export button and it creates the multi track wavs, u can the choose which hits u wanna process externally using ur multiple outs from ur soundcard

And what if your soundcard only has 2 outputs?

A better example, you want to send your kick to a hardware compressor, your snare to a hardware reverb, your hats to a software verb etc... directly from your box, you need those outputs.

On the MPC you simply do it. On this unit it would be a bit more of a hassle. I'm only pointing this out because if you want to contend with the MPC, you have to match it first. There's nothing on this product that really makes it stand out in my opinion.

How about the important stuff such as sequencing options? JJ OS for the MPC1000 offers numerous styles of recording sequences but the Beat Kangz software that I trialled (admittedly the first version) was limited in this area. Multiple sequencing modes and flexible sound design tools are essential.
