Time will tell......... But the MPC Line has owned ALL of the challengers: SP12/00, ASRX, MV's and all the rest. They all have their advantages, but the MPC's are still the KING's of the Beat Machines! If this thing is well-built, I would want to at lest work on it to see what it can do.

they hooked up the ram, and the display, but two headphone outs and not 8 outs isnt logical, plus it only does 16 tracks, but the external hd is cool, dont hafta strip the machine apart,

I love the name! I love the software! I love the fact that for at least 2 years we have been waiting for this piece of hardware and now we are getting it! I love the transformers look of the machine....



no just kidding, the name sucks... they didn't fool me with the software, and it still doesn't look like it's coming out anytime soon... which is what? a couple of years almost since the pre-ordering started? the looks of the machine who cares.


there seem to be some cool specs on paper and stuff that doesn't seem mind blowing but it seems normal like that is the standard it should have (minus multiple outputs). however since I doubt anyone is ever getting one so who cares.

Its great to see new Maschines, no matter how good it will be.
I believe this new Maschines has of course a few disadvantages.

And there are a few Things I dont understand, for Example:
Why 2 SD Slots? Maybe 1 SD and 1 CF Slot makes more Sense.
Why can I use the USB Slot as Input and Output? It has to be a Computer and has to support the drivers, to connect a USB-Keyboard with it. Also its not possible to connect 2 Computers via USB.
There is no Power Suppply? How to charge it?
There is no Hard Drive?
Why I need so much Ram for Sampling?
Why I need so much polyphony for Beats?
That Grill and all that Bling Bling looks like a Toy. Not as Quality.
Also it has 1 Stereo Input. You can use it as a Mic Input (mono), Hi-Z Input (mono) and Line Input (unbalanced, Stereo), and it has Phantom Power? Makes now Sense. I dont think, that this is technically possible, like the USB Port. Sounds like Dreams, not implemented Functions.
You can stack 16 Sounds on every Pad? Who stacks 16 sounds?
Only 1 Midi In and Output? Thats one big fail/miss.
No Line outputs? Only 2 Headphone Ouputs? Next big fail.

Doesnt looks like quality studio Gear. More like a Toy with unusable or unrealistic Features...

And for sending different parts of a beat to various outboard processing units? It can't do it, which is why you didn't answer me. Bouncing down to wav files to a DAW every time you want to try something isn't going to help workflow at all.

This unit simply isn't that special. It's a soft sampler in a light up box, with less features than actually using a dedicated soft sampler. It'd make more sense to use Kontakt with an MPD than invest in this.

but snez the reason there is no hard drive is cos it has to sd slots giving around 64gb

more ram means it holds a bigger library of samples

the power supply is like a laptop battery u can use it off the mains or let it charge

yeah 128 polyphony who needs it but who needs more then 16 tracks for a beat?

dont like the lights turn it off

phantom power can be found on many mixers and input channels and is featured on this device so it is possible

looks can deceiving

so when does this vaporware ever materialize?
