What computer do you own?

And are you happy with it? Thinking about buying an Imac

Toshiba Satellite, very basic, running Vista of all things... touch wood it's been solid as a rock, had it about 2-3 years now. If I was rich I'd have the quad-core iMac in a minute. It looks amazing.

Imac dual core 4 g ram

Custom built rackmount w/ pentium d 945 (3.40 ghz), 3 g's ddr2 800 & 4 internal hd's. The weight of this thing is no joke. Had to replace the pwr supply a few months ago, but aside from that, it's very reliable.

Been my main recording pc for a few years now, no reason to upgrade as of yet.

Mac Book 13" core 2 duo (12/2007) upgraded since with

still works like a charm but the new joints are enticing. mine is cracking around the seams because its plastic rather than the aluminum unibody design they have now. but its working so i cant really justify a $2000 upgrade to macbook pro.

its old 6 years, had to replace a power supply and I had to take out 2 ram sticks because they failed but other than that its been good to me; hate to upgrade again im runnin this one till it dies--or until there is some software I cannot live without

Simple family computer with some nice specs. Scapinso Fujitsu or something like that.
I ain't no computer dude so don't ask me what I have. A friend of mine told me what kind of specs I needed to look for and I found it for a reasonable price. Many usb ports, two firewire and multi card ports.
I don't download shit on it so it still runs flawless (knock on wood). If I had money to burn I'd go for a mac but this still get's the job done.

If you have a decent Mac repair depot in your city, they should take care of that for free. Some places will give you the run around, but the store in my city has replaced the top case for me twice, without charging me a dime either time. I do not have Apple Care and mine is a 2007 model as well. Unfortunately, I need to get this done for the third time.

Apple is picking up the tab because they screwed up on the design and doing this is cheaper than a full recall of the white Macbooks.

2010 Macbook Pro 15 inch, with the i5 processor. The multi-touch trackpad is dope. It's fast and I love it, but the OS completely crashed on me a few times. I thought new Macs are not supposed to do that.

The shiny screen can be annoying too.
