soundforge ?

hey what up?
listen i got a ? bout soundforge,
is there a way to overlay sounds?
u know like if you have a bass drum hit, and you want to layer it with a filtered bass to make it hit harder.

yeh just paste it over the top. it may be better to do it multitrak. so u can adjust level/eq to suit.

-Open up your bass drum and your filtered drum

-lay down markers at the very start of the kicks on the zero crossing (press M to lay a marker)

-double click on the filtered kick to highlight it and press ctrl+C to copy it

-right click the top of the marker at the start of the normal kick and select "go to"

-click ctrl+M to mix the filtered kick to the normal one

*Open the wav file you wanna layer.
*Copy the sample you wanna layer on top to the clipboard.
*Go to "edit" on the panel.
*Select "paste special"
*Select "mix" and then the sounds become layered.
