Hey guys whats going on. I've been having this problem for a little while now. Whenever I record a song and assign it to a pad, I go to save it. But when I chose where I want to save it to it tells me "Card is full!!!!" Now I know I had free space, but I deleted some more stuff from the CF card but I still get the message, and I have over 575 mb free space.

Any fix to this bug?

I updated my OS to the latest version but still no luck. Any help is appreciated :)

NO there is NO way to fix it. You are **** man, sell your MPC and get a banjo.

OR.... you could empty your CF card, re-format it and load it up again. :?

Really no way to fix it? I'll try reformatting.

Any other thoughts?

Looks like everything is going to shit, now the MPC won't even connect to my computer via usb, and I can only use the cursor to move when the CF card is removed, and I have all the beats I was working on for artists on there!

Anyway to reformat my mpc?

yup, reset to factory default.

How would I go about doing that? I can't connect my MPC to the computer via USB because it won't recognize it anymore, and for some odd reason the MPC only works with the CF card out.

All of this is covered in the manual. You have one yes? I can't remember how.

The other possibility is you may have a corrupt CF card.

Yea man I know how to do it, hold erase until the it shows 128mb on startup. I was wondering if there is a different way of formatting but I guess not.

It hasn't been working, but yea its probably the CF card corrupted. What sucks was it had all my finished beats I needed to record for a project I was doing with someone.

Whatever no biggie I was thinking its time for an upgrade anyway, the 500 doesn't have all the features I want.

I'm gonna go for a 1000 with JJOS2 or maybe a 2500

But for this its most def the CF card for all the people who are having the same frustrations as me with the stupid bugs akai has, the 500 works fine without the card in it

check youve not bent the pins on the card slot, if they touch an short out they cause all sorts of weird problems, b very careful putting in and removing cards, can be fiddly to line up sometimes.
just a thought
