What up JUKE,, Well I definitely shouldn't downgrade what version it came with, right? As you know I'm new to Mac computers so not sure what to expect. The complete OS lockups reminded me of Windows ME.

I have a 20" Studio Slim running Windows Vista 32bit and has 6GB RAM at 2.33

Its been doing this stupid disk check thing everytime i turn it on lately, anybody know how to make it quit doing this? it just happened yesterday, right after i turned it off once it froze on this website and it made a beeping noise...thought i was getting a virus or something, so i hit the power button...now it does this disk check thing

Sounds like the master boot files could be corrupt. Through the DOS command you could try doing a "fix mbr" or something like that.

Sudden power offs without properly shutting down windows usually causes these sorta things.

Plus, all of my gear gets its main power source from an APC-UPS so I don't have to deal with improper shut downs and whatnot.

Gotta have one of these or you'll keep dealing with those boot issues and some.

Controlled through its own software too (via usb of course).
