I have a question about the MPC 2500 and ableton. I understand that you can sync them through the use of a midi cable, but i can't seem to find the answer to what im looking for. I record straight into ableton through the audio outs on the MPC. The only problem with that is that the "Note Repeat" doesn't sync with the tempo of the song. Will syncing them with midi fix this?

The note repeat should sync with the tempo of your MPC sequence, according to your current quantise settings.

Is this not the case?

Or are you referring t the song in Ableton being out of sync with your MPC, not exactly clear...
