well click the button in the pattern window for the sound and make sure the box for loop points is turned off.... somehow I dont know if that is the issue but it's worth a shot.

well I would have to hear the clicking, but maybe your buffer is set too low in the audio options?

Well software doesn't come much easier than Fruity Loops.

If you start from a completely blank pattern then add tracks one by one, is the problem still there?

It has to be something obvious because FL should run even on a shitty spec pc.

well I'm trying to think of what it could be... not because I want the OP to use a specific program but because it has me curious to know the problem.

I mean, okay... maybe there is a problem with the file type. But lets say you play the samples in windows media player... does it do those click sounds? if not then the files are not the problem.

the only thing I can think of that causes clicks is 1) buffer set too high 2) using an asio driver on a sound card that is not asio compatible.

try pitching the sample down. sometimes the sound will sound ok in the media list thing, but when you load it and it plays really fast and sounds like a click.

oh, that reminds me of something I saw back in fl 7... I think it may be a bug or something... sometimes it makes the root note C1 or rather the lowest possible note in piano roll.

or maybe (only if you opened the sample in wave traveller) make sure you switch down the TA switch....

honestly that doesn't sound like something normal happening to you.
