I'm having problems with the audio part of this. The XL has the 8 outs and i'm running them into the cpu using the Delta010LT.I have the info on syncing the two(XL and Sonar)Making the mpc the master. But i'm having problems with the audio.Let's say i have a kick, hat, and snare all on seperate tracks.I assign them to the mixer channels and arm 3 tracks in sonar as well but the only thing i get when i record is all 3 samples on all 3 tracks.Any ideas?

And before you say RTFM or google it...........i have.I always look up info before i ask.I'm stuck. And that video sparq made didn't help because Cubase is a totally different animal.

Appreciate any help.

Peace.

You have to hit SHIFT 7 (Mixer), then select a Drum program, and edit the assigned outputs for each sample to its own out. But how are you getting them into Sonar? Unless you maintain discreet inputs, one for each of the 8 outs, then you will be unable to keep the incoming tracks separate so that you can record each of them to its own track in Sonar.

That's what i've been doing. The 8 outs goes into the cpu through the Delta1010,so each has it's own line in.I've assigned the tracks to an out like kick-1 hat-2 snare-3.And on the mpc under Track i've switched that to M(multiple) but it's still not tracking right.I guess it's something in the settings or whatnot.I'll have to go back and double check everything but thanks for the help.

I'd check the settings in your DAW...I can't see any way the mpc would be summing audio into the individual outs if they were set to different channels.

Yeah i think it might be something in Sonar cause all the connections are correct.(As far as i can tell).I'll be moving things around again so i guess i'll just wait and see if i can figure it out when i get set up again. Thanks though.

Peace.

update the 1010LT make sure you have the latest drivers and GUI installed its icon is a red side looking arrow ( < )
--note make sure u uninstall the old one this fuxxed alot of daw work for me as Pro Tools wouldnt read it during my trials with it, so I just disregarded Pro Tools altogether, went back to my installed programs to remove and said shit there's 2 instances running the old and new and they were conflicting without the pc letting me know--( i received a ground feed loop playback from Reaper, this instantly made me know something was wrong as well) -

next go into your daw:

track 1 - (RCA)input 3(input3/4 if selected as stereo in GUI of m audio)
track 2 - input 4 " " " "
also you might have to pan the respected inputs to the L/R respectively L being ODD numbers and R being EVEN(might have to do this in the daw as well as MPC mixer settings!!!!-play around with it)

make sure from the m audio GUI you are getting a reading by the meters jumping while a beat is playing

I hope I helped you LMK if there is anything else + progress and if it fixed your issue

Thanks jaxxkg.I haven't tried to set it up yet but i'm going to play around with some of the settings and whatnot but in a few more days i'll have more time to work on some of the things you said.I updated the drivers, just to be sure and i'm going to work in Sonar for a bit but i'll let you know. Thanks again bruh.

Peace.
