I need help playing sample package that I purchaced.

OK I purchased a nice 4 pack kit. Extracted it and loaded the information onto my mpc 500. Can't seem to access the sounds even after it goes through the load process. Can anyone help please. Is it as simple as the mpc can't play from folders only files...

a little more info would be nice.
are the samples 44.1khz and 16 bit? then you should be just fine.
how do you load them? sample by sample or did you setup a program with them via, say, mpcmaid? (which i would
recommend in case you don't use it yet).

Thanks for the reply. Loaded them sample by sample and they did work. I'll check out mpcmaid though because that is very tedious...

This might be really obvious, but make sure you're using WAV files. Most kits come with multiple file formats.

i've never even tried loading things by folders, (sequences, programs, etc.) i've always found the exact file and load, that way no problems should ever occur

Load Folder is a nice way to load up a bunch of samples quickly, but you still need to make a program out of those samples.

Did you try trim mode to see if they are actually getting loaded properly?
