Here it goes...I hope im doing something stupid but i never had this prob on the 2500 jjosxl.

Basically im using the mpc as a controller for logic (i never had this prob on the mpc 2500)
all my connections are correct.
out of mpc into motu xt out xt in mpc
mpc trk1 midi channel 1 etc. logic trk1 midi channel 1 etc.
so i can trigger all logic inst's via mpc pads and tracked midi channels 1-16 fine i can record and sequence into mpc
i can lock mpc to logic and record into logic and auto demix perfectly.
The weird problem is as soon as i hit the play/start button on the mpc what ever track is selected in logic, the volume
will max out and if all the tracks are record enabled all of the tracks volume will max out.
I noticed that it only maxes out the volume when the mpc reaches 001.01.000 by pressing play/start button plays from the start)
also if im stopped at 001.03.143 on the mpc and hit the play button all is fine but if i press the back bar button and go to the beginning 001.01.000 on the mpc and press the play button same will happen as if i pressed the play/start vol will max out on sel track in logic or what ever tracks are record enabled in logic.
In the mpc if i set the tracks to no longer correspond to midi tracks in logic when i press play/Start nothing will happen like it should, but now im not sending any data to logic either.
So i opened the environment clicks/ports to check the midi input view when i press the play/start button on mpc it
shows icon which looks like a circle with a vertical line on on the top not a note with a line thru it.
states...
1 7 127
1 10 64
2 7 127
2 10 64
3 7 127
3 10 64
I've reset the mpc tried diff templets on logic same thing...
Im baffled.
i can get around it by not pressing the play/start button but and not having it stopped on 001.01.000 and pressing play.
i have to figure this out b4 i go crazy its probly a stupid 1 click problem too!
if any one can figure out what im talkin about pleease help!

You do understand that the time you put into typing all this and comparing it to the 2500 could have gotten you exactly what you need just by doing a quick search?
No the 5k isn't broken it just has far more controller ability than the 2500 ever dreamed of.
Even worse one day you will actually appreciate that function and how it lets you control external MIDI.

Just a quick search of the 5k forum something as generic as volume jumps will get you what you need.
Gotta make use of that search function.

It's just that it looks so crazy to see it happen that it looks like a problem not a feature.

It's definitely nice to be able to adjust things on your Fantom, Motif or DAW from within the MP and save it all in one place. :D
