NEXT SEQ = IMMEDIATELY PLAY timing issue.

Timing is number one priority in a sequencer as far as I'm concerned and that's why I haven't touched my mpc since it started goin all sloppy with the latest JJOS2XL.

Never really thought about the 1k as having good sequencer timing simply because it was the first MPC I ever saw that had weight gain problems.
The 1k has always had a glinchy nature based on how much you ask it to do, and JJ is asking it to do a lot more than Akai ever did.
Just always found myself converting tracks to Audio Tracks to free up resources whenever I tried to do anything real on the 1k as a moble option.

The only MPC that was worst was the MPC500 and those voice stealing effects.
Seriously how can you say a unit has 32 notes of polyphony but that's only with no effects running. That gave the 500 a great initial release by having effect dependent polyphony.

I wonder if the sloppy timing issue is the reason I noticed this last night:

When I play a drumloop in trim mode, I'lll edit it so that it loops perfectly, then timestretch it to my desired BPM. When I put it in a sequence of the same BPM and have it trigger on the 1st beat so that it will loop in sequencer mode, it seems to put a tiny little gap of silence at the end before it repeats. This sucky suck sucks! Can anyone confirm that ths is what's going on?

Make sure the release is set to 0 in the amp envelope page.
If there is still a gap then I think I read somewhere on this forum about something along these lines.
Oh, and I've never trusted any 'detect bpm' type settings in the mpc, I've never found them to be accurate so I wouldn't be suprised if 'stretch to bpm' was fail also.

OK, last night when looping with the sequencer I got much tighter results when using 1.33

Hey there. Have just installed 1.33 and it is rock solid in timing when using Next sequence compared to 1.40. I am clocking an machinedrum from the MPC and all timing **** is gone. So I stick to 1.33, until this timing issue has been fixed.
