The real on 1200's is most people don't know enough about how they should feel to see problems in the arm, platter, suspension or motor.
They are completely happy because a marginal 1200 is still gonna be better than what most people are using or use to.
Still doesn't change the fact that the table has issues from previous use and you will quickly notice if you know how it's supposed to be.
They have done a lot of little tweaks over the years that people don't even seem to notice but they made the table feel different, and I'm talking just on the straight 1200mk2.
more nonsense. you obviously just aren't good at hounding for gear at good prices. that's all.
yes, there is also damaged gear out there... don't buy it. end of story.
there are PLENTY of deals to be had on technics tables in prime condition.
