waveform fine zoom/edit vs mpc2000xl

i've had a 2500 for a while, and noticed that in the trim screen especially in fine edit even when zoomed out to the furthest point the waveform seems tiny.

ive tried sampling at higher volumes, different thresholds and normalising but in general on the 2500 it seems much much flatter, nonexistent most of the time compared to how it used to be when using the same function on the 2000xl I used to own, makes chopping a lot harder, anyone else owned a 2500 and 2kxl and know what i mean? i hope am i just being an idiot and there is really simple fix as i love the additional features of the 2500 and im considering switching back to the xl for this

im considering the jjos for my 2500,

is it correct that in 3.10 (free version) you can't load/save? thats what it says in comparison charts/jj website,

and the only other version is the XL which is $113.00??

is there not an intermediate version for the 2500? i heard theres like a $30 one for the 1000?
