Love the 5000, but the envelope generator sucks.....

Rant on: Spent ages sampling a multisample program of a string pad into the 5000, then went to put an attack and release envelope on it on the Akai, and the attack response is really poor, very non linear, It's impossible to create a smooth rising attack, at best it sounds like a delay with nothing, and then a sudden logarithmic jump up to full volume... Looks like a software request from me to Akai if they do any more OS upgrades... Rant off.

Find a S-series PGM of the type of sound you are trying to create and use that as the reference to get it right.
