A friend asked me to do a live beat set at his show on aug 28th.The thing is,ive never done one before! Im just used to playin shit off a cd at a beat battle.Im using a mpc 1000 and i have a 15-20 min set.My idea was grab my top 4 beats and lay em out on the buttom row of the pads and trigger those back to back ta start things off.Sequence 2 will be the start of a new batch of beats.I can play the samples on top of the drums or vice versa.Sequence 3 will be a whole new beat and so on and so forth.I have to keep this continous! cant be loadin beats after another.I was gonna throw in some randon samples from records and voice samples as well.At the end i was gonna play a remix i did recently and a oldie but goodie track i produced and call it a night. Not bad right????? if theres any easier way to do this, trick, tips etc.. then please let me know.I gotta confirm 2morrow and im actually gonna practice right now.
