How important is the UNDO SEQ button? Because mine's broke

Hey guys,

So I finally got a used MPC, but after fixing one of the broken buttons, I just found out that my UNDO SEQ button wont work. Ugh, I wish I knew sooner because I just repaired it yesterday!

I'd hate to have to go back to solder this thing (I don't know how, I got someone to do it for me) because had i known I would've done it yesterday all at once (and all at one price)


So my question is, how important is this little button? Can I do without it? Is there alternatives to this button? I'll get around to repairing it, but after other 'crucial' buttons start failing as well.

like i said in the other thread before you go soldering crazy, try spraying some deoxit on the tact switch.. should fix the tacts that people think are dead which really aren't.. i use the shit religiously worked on my mpc when i thought tacts went bad...

hey nicks, which kind of deoxit did you use? i just checked the website and there's so many.

do you recommend any one in particular?

I use the Undo Seq button ALOT!! Everytime you record something that you dont like all you need to do is hit that button and BAM! its gone!!! My 3000 doesnt have it and its such a pain in the ass...

I've had a few buttons that have broke on me and I just took a button that I never use like the full levels button because you really need the undo button
