Compressed Drums Not Recording

I put the compressor on a kick to record it as a new sample. I went to RECORD, set it to MAIN OUT, and proceeded to record. After it has recorded, and I play back the new sample, its VERY quiet, seemingly without any compression at all. Suggestions?

Have you tried to normalize the sound? or did you check the record level of your mpc?

check the master volume in 'other'. Mode + pad 10
