Since the MPC2500 has 8 analog outputs I'm told, can it be used as a controller to trigger other synths? I want to use it to trigger an old Simmons drum brain. I purchased a Roland TR-626 for this purpose, but it doesn't work---apparently it is an issue with the 626 not having enough positive voltage in its outputs? The TR-808 is able to power the Simmons drum brain and other synths.
So does the MPC2500 have sufficient positive voltage to power through its 8 audio outputs individual instruments? My plan is to use at least 4 of these on the Simmons, but I would like to use the other 4 on something else if the MPC can do it.
Please feel free to correct me---I'm inexperienced at using instruments to control other instruments, and the complexities of analog electricity considerations really boggle my mind... at least MIDI simplifies this one issue.
By the way, the Simmons drum brain I am talking about using does not have MIDI. So I have to be able to control it through analog, quarter inch inputs.
