Yeah, it's called your fingers tapping really fast!

maybe you could set it so it loops and then set the loop points where you want it, so if you just hold it down it repeats

Yes, the sequencer (lol). That's as close as you're gonna get, short of programming a sound that repeats while you hold the key down, either using a repeating envelope or an LFO controlling the output. But there's no way - other than the sequencer - to do it without holding the note.

Bas upgraded memory?

I recently upgraded my RAM on my ASR-10. Did it properly and im using the right ram. But when i play a loaded instrument it sounds all distorted and totally F'n horrible. I think its bad memory cause my old 2mb memory works fine. yall ever ran into this?

Yep, unfortunately it's a bad SIMM (or SIMMs). How much memory are you using? If you put in 16 Meg, you can try pulling out 2 of the SIMMs (go back to 8 Meg), and see if that cures the problem. You can swap SIMMs around until you find the bad one.

If you only have 8 Meg total, though, you can't do any swapping. But this is definitely a SIMM issue.

Ya i did a little swapping around. And i tried 4 of the 5 configurations and only the orignal 2mb chips work. I tried with all 4 4mb chips with the jumper on extended and just 2 4m chips with the jumper on normal. Sam results. I tried the later with all 4 chips 2 at a time and same thing. Thanks @Syntaur. Im just glad its not the digi board or some sh!t. back to ebay i go.

Simple question, how do you listen or monitor a sample while recording it? It shows the input signal, but no sound is coming form my headphones. Thanks.

Anybody? ive checked the manual and google, no luck.
