I AM having RAM PROBLEMS!!!!

My mpc 2000 not xl, sometimes registers it's RAM, and then sometimes it does not. What IN THE WORLD is it DOING!!!????

Make sure it's seated correctly inside the unit.

The ram is seated correctly in there I just made sure the other day and i used to have 32 mb's of ram and it only has 18 mb's since before that day i took it apart and made sure everything that has to do with the ram was okay..... And by the way thank you all for your assistance in this matter, as well as for your time.

so you have 1 chip of 32 megs?

the recommended way is to put 2 chips of 16 MB ... one in each slot. That should work fault free.
