I'm trying to chop up and a melody that I recorded and treat it like a sample (using logic 9)

how many different ways can I do this? I've read that I could bounce the wav out and put it back in there as a one shot sample and treat the melody like its a drum sample.....but no sure how to do this....does is anyone familiar with this way? or no of any different ways?

I sample/ chop my own stuff. It sounds like a sample and people cant figure out where i got it. I usually just chop in recycle ,drag into the mpc and then re record again in the mpc.. so make 8 bar drum kit or 4 bar melody or if i double time..16 bar drum or 8 bar melody.. create audio track in record and record the whole sequence no drop outs just alll in one track . Save to open in recycle.. do my thing.. get back to mpc. As 1 wav and re chop.. its a 50-50 thing. Sometimes it flips and sounds like a hit. Sometimes its just over produced.. bit when it works people beg for the track. Good luxk and u will find what works for u.. dont give up. One..
