Audacity -> MPC 1000. Format is wrong?

I have my sample chopped in Audacity, exported the selection as a .WAV microsoft 16bit PCM at 44100 Hz. When I drag and drop it onto my flash card in the MPC, it doesn't show up on the screen. I've tried saving it as 44100 Hz also as an AIFF and just as an uncompressed .WAV file with no luck. The file name is less than 16 characters. What gives?

Are you exporting it as a 'windows' wav file? There are several different non compatible .wav formats which can be annoying. Not sure which version audacity exports as by default.
