I run a microtech pcd25 cardreader in an external case with my 3k and OS 3.50.

Problem is that the mpc losts sounds and programs on the cf card after switching it off.
F.e. when i want to load a program the mpc cant find all the sounds i have saved on the cf-card.
also there are some weird text and graphic symbols on the display instead of the sound/prog names.
again, the most sounds are loading fine but not all. and these sounds they were loaded couldnt be find the next time...

hope this makes sense?

i have tried:
-MPC 3K setting: Multisector transfer off,
-Formated the cf card with Multisector transfer off
-Different CF-Cards

but no luck...

thanks for your help

With a PCD-25 it shouldn't make a difference if you are using Multisector transfer in ON or OFF mode.

I have seen this happen before with PCD-25 units where their SCSI cabling and connections are at fault.

Remove, clean and re-seat all cables related to the SCSI connections and then start again with a fresh CF disk.

I have also seen PCD-25 units malfunction and die as a result of badly mains earthed MPC3000...

thanks rohan for your reply!

its in an external case, do you think i have to dissamble the whole unit?
and i am also not sure about termination the external cf unit. now its terminated.

which cf card should i use? does this make a difference? though i have only brand cf cards.
