Totally new to the akai world here however I go an mpc 2500 with jjos 3.09 and it was working fine. I saw 3.10 was available so I got a flash card and updated to 3.10. Everything was working fine. I come back home to work something and for some reason when I want to load samples it does not let me assign the sample to a pad. It just "loads" and shows me the percentage bar quickly and does nothing.

So I revert back to akai 2500 os and everything is fine, go back to 3.10 same deal again...

Any ideas or am I missing something simple?

Thanks,

Backed up and reformatted drive, same deal, akai os is fine, jjos 3.10 will not assign/load samples.

Is there anyway I can get 3.09 I can not seem to find it anywhere...

So I decided to try MPC2500 JJ OS-XL, to see if it was anything with 3.10, and same issue...

I go back onto akai os and now all those lame little "ill hip hop" etc are gone, although the programs for these stayed.
(No idea why)

In akai os I can simply load a sample by pressing the pad and bam done, I was able to do with jjos 3.09, but not 3.10... :(

On the other hand I CAN (on jjos 310) able to load samples by pressing windows and "samples assign to pad Window: YES", and then a sub window pops up whenever I want to assign the pads... But why can't I just press the pad and OK like in 3.09? With this type of function eliminated in 3.10?

Anyways if anyone can shed any light on this or has had a similar experience please drop me a few lines...

Cheers,
