I need a good external audio interface

I was thinking of buying an m-audio Fast Track Pro external sound card,but its price(especially is europe)is just too much for my current budget.

I need an external sound card/audio interface to hook up my MPC with my DAW,so i need both audio & MIDI in and outs.

What are your advices,what should i buy? As ive mentioned,im looking for something cheaper than the fast track pro,so please tell me about products in a slightly lower price range.

If you plan on using something other than PT, go used on a delta 1010.

This way you have the option of going PT M powered or any other daw you choose to go with for that matter.

Well,only tiny problem is that i do not have PCI inputs,so i cant connect it to my comp.

Damn,i just saw an auction,in which a delta 1010 was offered with protools for 130$. Damn.

Thanks for the tip tho,maybe ill figure it out somehow.(is there a PCI-USB adapter?)

EDIT: Can i use Pro Tools M-powered with a fast track pro the same way i can use it with a delta?

wait, the fast track pro is too expensive? aren't those like175- 200 bucks brand new... so like 100 second hand?

I wish they were,but in Hungary(where i live) import stuff is way more expensive than they are in the US,in this case,its twice as much,like 175-200 buck used,275-300 brand new

I didnt really know much about external sound cards,so i thought there may be cheaper products,but i think ill stick with the fast track pro,it really has everything i need.

Fast track pros go for around 120 Euros on eBay Deutschland.

Hungary is part of the EU so no import duty.

There's one for 10 Euros right now there.

Yes,im gonna buy a fast track pro,it really seems its the best audio interface in its price range,i can get it in hungary(even if its not cheap here),so i think its the right decision.
