FLoppy Drive Replacement - Mpc3000

Can anyone recommend a drive and or site to purchase from... most of the search results I dug up were quite old. Wondering if the landscape has changed a little since.

Thanks man... yeah, saw the one on mpcstuff and the one the vst site, which is pretty close in price... if I could just get the information on what specific model works, I can work on finding it that way. I'd imagine it has to be possible to get one at a 1/3 of the retail price on those two sites.
If I can't find something going that route... well yeah, getting another floppy drive, for damn near the price it would cost for an internal cf reader... is a little hard to digest... hopefully that won't be the case.
In truth, I love floppies... no issues with them (aside from when the drive goes... lol) and I the workflow is perfect for what I do... one beat per floppy. I don't know... not sure what to think at this point.

The floppy drive and SCSI are both shot on my 3000, so I did some research.
It's almost impossible to find the correct floppy drive, so probably your best bet is to buy a s1000/s2800/s3000(xl) and use it for parts. I don't like to plunder a perfectly good sampler so I guess I'll have to find someone who can repair my MPC.
Might br a cheap option for you, though.

Seriously consider buying a S3000xl and using it as a donor machine. Besides the floppy, you'll get other useful parts like a spare LCD, backlight, inverter, encoders, and you can pawn off the 8outs and RAM to a MPC2000 or 2000 user. It never hurts to have spare parts for your 3000.

the encoders on an S3000 work weird on an MPC 3K as do the volume knobs etc.

you can get a Teac 235-hf with jumpers and set it up right, I think I have some in storage but I'd have to dig up the jumper settings...they are on here somewhere, but you'll have to dig through a bunch of pages probably

first step for you is Ebay, hit up the sellers of black 235-hf's and ask them if there are jumpers on the back, I bought a lot of like 15 for $40 or something a while back and was giving them away to long-time heads on here

It looks like a stock photo, you need one with jumpers. If you do not see jumpers, it is likely a PC drive and may not work in your MPC. Not all 235s have them -- there are hundreds of different drives that are 235s.

Jeez... this is slowly shaping itself into a nightmare... lol

i have a spare MPC 3000 lying around that i havent decided what to do with yet..

it has a couple of issues so ive held back on selling it off, dont want to pull the same swindle that was pulled on me by the previous seller. however, none of the issues with it relate to the floppy drive.

i would consider selling the floppy drive, as i already have a spare due to replacing the floppy drive with a card reader on my working MPC 3000. im only really hanging onto them because i know that with a little jumper adjustment they are useable in an SP 1200, and since the SP has no SCSI option i may one day need to replace the floppy drive on mine.

the newer 235hf's can be jumpered to work with the Sp1200 too, just need the tape over the hole trick

Just bought MPC3000LE off Ebay - the Floppy drive doesn't work in 7 out of 10 attempts
and makes wired loud noises.

So what's the cheap replacement solution ( Europe, France) ?
is this link above the correct one with jumpers,
is there a installation tutorial somewhere on the web?
Any other places to order it from Europe for cheaper shipping costs?
