trouble recording digital in

yea i was trying to sample from the cd player but it wouldn't work. i had the audio wire on the cd player to the digital in, was on the record page, and had it set to digital. am I doing something wrong?

Yea hook up digita out (CD player) to Digital in (mpc) and in record mode turn on Digital in recording. If your still stuck read the manual its pretty good. Good luck.

yeah your cd player has to have a Digital out....it looks like a normal RCA but works Diffrently... See if the CD player's outs has one that says "SPDIF" or "Digital Out".
