The one with the most toys wins! By using a few sounds off the cassio I can toss in a few things different and unique in there own way. Is you make music and you toss in something different and unique it separates you from the other 90% cookie cutter producers. And motif the best? No no and hell no... Scott torch made his case with. Phantom g6.. phantom> all plus the sample are Damn near mastered right out of the box..zzzzzzzzzzzzz

well sounds like you made up your mind... I just dont see an mpc1000, a motif, and several hundred dollars being worth it for a 5k... Try posting a craigslist add asking for a straight trade with no money.... who knows maybe a local 5k user would want to do that trade.

reampcc wrote:Yea i hear ya. But like I said I have all the Motif sounds saved on my PC so all I have to do is transfer them to my MPC 5K & hook up a midi keyboard so I can have that piano feel for those instruments.

don t expect a 16 layer grand piano...it s still a sampler it takes time to load them big samplegroups...
ido n t really use the keygroups or load big samples into the mpc.im a long time user and im u sing it like all them others...mainly sequencing and chopping and resampling.
and of coarse the synth but thats it.
i use my pc or the motif es rack as a soundmodule...
can t hate on the motif es it s solid rompler with still usable sounds...

you have really learned it?
use the editor 4 creating sounds maybe start with sounds that you like and tweak them...it even have the basic waveforms saw, traingle ect ect...
use the arp 4 inspiration...stack sounds..
you can even get cool sounds out of the old korg m1...maybe get a learn dvd for the motif..sudsonic got some!

or maybe your looking for some instant hiphop sounds?get proteus x or better emulator x with the mophatt cd..use your pc as a sound modul...

I mean after almost 3 years of messing with thing Im sure I know it inside and out....know as far as editor I havent messed with that. Ill give u an example of how I use my Motif.....scroll threw sounds and category folders, tweak them however I want, keep scrolling, keep looking, keep tweaking, usually browse all the 16 instrument folders and only 20% I find sounds I like.....and to be honest, 20% is being really generous....I dont mind going threw sounds, but EVERYTIME turn this on, I struggle. EVERYTIME....Talk about a momentum killer, for real.
