I installed the 8 outs today and was pretty careful about doing so but after i installed it and started work i tilted the screen up and it decided to restart. I tried doing it again and it did the same thing. Never had a problem with this machine before. I opened it back up again to make sure there wasnt anything loose and everything is plugged in internally. Like i said this only happens when it adjust the screen. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions before i hit up vst or forat?

Took it out, and it stopped acting up. Thanks. Any ideas what to do next so i can use the expansion and have it not do this?

well first of all, you should look for the proper documentation for installing the expansion, or maybe look for a user who has done that personally just so you can verify that you had all the proper components and that everything was for sure done correctly. If that is the case then chances are there is a problem with the card and you should contact the person who sold it to you.

Sounds like a case of someone passing on their defective components.

Didn't by chance grab this off of ebay did you?

You think so? I grabbed it on ebay through VSTservice. I know i didnt install it wrong because its showing up on the global screen, and when it decides not to restart and i send something through the outs it works fine. Could be a bad one.

hey
i guess you bought it from vst - just like i did.
mine created a differente issue (strong hum+vinyl like crackle sound)
it is still under warranty, i just send it back to vst : you should communicate with them and describe your issue.

Damn, dissapointing. I just hit them back about it. See what they have to say.

It's possible that vst's supplier provided them with a batch of defective IB48P boards. ???
