..recording time on a sample
So, i'm trying to record from an external synth. the sample is an arpeggiated loop that's 8 bars long and roughly around 16 seconds long
Firstly, am i right recording this in as a sample?
i need to do a few of these on each of my songs and layer them up.. so, in MPC 5000 terms am i approaching this the right way by recording it as a sample and sticking it into a sequence?
secondly and most importantly, do i need to free up the RAM or something to get some recording time back?
and if so, how do i do this?
any help is greatly appreciated.. i've been using an SP404 until now, so this is day one for me with an MPC
