if you mean midi notes yes u can, make sure the track i record enbled, your mp is set to right midi channel and you set the mp in reason up correct as a controller under prefences screen

no thats not for what he is trying to do...

have you setup your midi in EDIT>PREF>Keyboards And Control Surfaces..? i just setup mine to see what your problem is and it worked fine i was recording notes in reason... set your midi output on the mpc to 1A and it should be sending midi to reason. and if your tracks are armed it should record..

Ok..I use cubase for that.. rewired reason to cubase. I trigger all vsts and reason and cubase sounds with the mp. It's so dope man.. I'm using a 5k so I'm latching and doing crazy stuff. Just latching 2 like a snare and a clap. Try 1/4 3 and 60+ gate and adjust swing. Makes a cool break beat.

I re installed reason just in case. but this time i added the mpc as a multichannel midi keyboard, not a midi control surface. success!

and it turns out to record what i play i sync to the reason internal clock not the mpc's clock

also ghosty that sounds sweet i must give it a try

thanks for the help
