Wow, that's really really really clean. And these are supposed to be a nightmare to keep in good working condition, a lot of special hard-to-get parts or something.

But who drops that kind of money on a sampler? A museum? I wouldn't dare to use it! And then whats the point...

New Focal CMS65 monitors, new Overstayer FET compressor, new TL Audio A4 summer/mixer, new GAP PRE-73 preamps. Also new Shure SM7B mic not in pic.
That's the way to spend some tax refund + sell off some gear I no longer use and spend that doe more wisely.

Biggest upgrade is the monitors. I can hear what I'm doing now, and the mixes translates better.

How's that TLA A4 sound and how are you implementing it? been looking at getting one of them myself.

I finally! got an SP myself a few months back (been on the MPC for 10 years though), not had a huge amount of time to get deep into it yet, but am loving it so far!

Mad props for the those SP SH!T free downloads, beats are dope as **** you guys are killing wish i'd known about you guys sooner!, right up my alley.

can I cop any of your vinyl releases in the UK do you know? if not my homie runs an online store over here (www.kingunderground.com) and i'm pretty sure he'd be up for stocking your stuff, hit me on a pm if you want some info.

I'm liking the A4. It's pretty "invisible", which I like. I have the SP1200's outputs connected to it, as I like the basic raw sound of the SPs outputs. I EQ samples before the SP, and almost all the beats you hear on the SP SH!T tapes are straight from the mono mix out! Found out that a summer would be a good option for some stereo placement on samples, plus I did not need an additional monitoring mixer/unit.

I also use it as a mixer, as the MPC and DJ-rig is hooked up to it. I swapped the cheap Sovtek tube for a NOS Telefunken. It's cool to have the option for some tube sound on some beats. I also like the insert option, I have the Compressor hooked in there. So far I like it very much! I got it at 50% sale, so a decent price as well.

It IS a reel to reel! I use it for tape echo. An AKAI r2r is gonna be in its place soon...free!
That'll be for recording and echo. Plus I am gonna build a space echo.

And yes my MPC was a caseless road warrior. It's traveling days are over now though...at least until I get another!
I bought it brand new in '98-'99. I just got hold of an SP-202 and love it. So I am now going to take the beats from
my MPC and sample them into the 202, that way the 202 gets the road wear.
