New to the mpc. How do you chop a sample onto more then one

Hey thanks for the help right away. I just purchased a mpc 2500 and i have a cd drive on here, I figured out how to record about thirty seconds of a cd on the my MP but i can only get it to play on one pad. If you know how to break it up and spread it to more then one pad the advice would be much apprechiated. Im a young kat in this game and am hungry for knowlege so any tips, advice, or help is is needed and apprechiated
