How is it possible to adjust the start and end points of the regions in a sliced sample using the Q link sliders?

Am I limited to using the cursor/data wheel?? i've used a 2Kxl and holding shift + moving slider you can adjust this.

I'm using the current software as downloaded today (september 6th, 2010)

Don't know about on the 1000, but on the 4000 you press ACTIVE below the Q-link slider and then move it while holding the button.

One Q-link is for the start point and the other is for the end point.

I'm using the AKAI OS, latest v2.13. The only other answer i could find is to hold down the AFTER button while using the slider but this does not work..

But even using the DATA wheel is PAINFULLY slow and only tracks in incredibly small increments. Is there a way to increase this? and is there a way to zoom in while adjusting Region/slice start end points??
