studio setup

I have the mpc5000,turntable,scrach mixer and mpk49 and im trying to hook it all up to the tascam 1884 does anybody know what type of order i have to set everything up im using sonar 8 also please help

Why don't you start by telling us how much you know about music production, which pieces of your 'studio' you actually know how to use and perhaps what led you to buy gear that you do not know how to setup or use????

You must have money to blow. First, you don't need the mpc and the mpk. Being that you have no clue as to what your doing. You don't even need the tascam. The mpk and sonar will be fine for a complete utter noob with money to blow. Throw the scratch pad in the fire. It's 2010 not 1990. My advice is . Buy manual for you hot gear.

Not to be a ****, but I have asked a couple dozen noobish question and was giving a verbal ass spanking by the experienced users here. so I know now, that the basic questions will not get a easy response. so you gotta read your manual man.

did you mean that as in saying producers should only be using current and "up to date" studio equipement. and im asking because im a new wet-behind-the-ears producer

Not trying to be hurtful and I'm sorry. Yes generally using up to date ingredients for your dish, will yield a better meal to feed starving artists. However once in a while its fun to use the old gear/ style just to do something fun. After all that the point of this game. Don't Chase the money , Chase the fun, Chase the rush of daring to take risks and having it payoff. Good luck bro.. one...

hook the table to 5k phono, mpk to midi in on 5k to control syths, and run ur outs of 5k to the tascam to ur needs 2 outs v 8 outs

The "wack" 60 would actually be considered a frying pan reference and not an ingredient. Thus cooking up beats for starving artists.... but yes, I generally try to use newer gear,sounds. Sometimes at home I eat peanut butter and jelly.
