Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I recently installed a flash card reader in my 2kxl, I can load on to the mpc from the card and also load and delete from card with my computer. I chopped up some samples and made some tracks and sequences, then I went to save the program and it said unable to save. There is enough memory left to save on the flash card, it just isnt working for some reason. Any ideas? It would save the sequences fine, but it wouldnt save programs.

Somebody suggested I may need to re-format something. Any clue whats going on?

please provide more info so anyone in this forum can help you understand your problem.

you using os 1.14 or 1.20 on your XL?

flash card reader . . . what is the brand?

is drive hot or non-hotswappable?

what is the size of the memory card?

did you format by pc or MPC ?

i am wondering if you are using os 1.20 and have a memory card larger than 1GB. os 1.20 has a 1gb limitation. peace

1.2 OS, non hot swapable, 1 gig memory card, format with mpc. I was told that there have been some problems with my type of card reader and I need to upgrade to the SCSI version. I am getting a new card today, hopefully that works. If not, I guess its time to upgrade the 2kxl again.
