im not really a subscriber to any "Roger Linn is a magician" theories (which oddly enough seem to mostly proliferate through people who've never even used a 3000/60), but 3.50 doesn't change anything about the timing correction apart from adding new options. so in other words, the "original magic" is retained in 3.50, you just have more timing correct options than with any Akai OS.
